I have to say that it really bothered me to see the old Barney back so soon. She got along with Lily (which means Lily would be less likely to sabotage them), she wasnРІР‚в„ўt completely disgusted by BarneyРІР‚в„ўs antics and she seemed comfortable at the table with the entire gang, including the harmony for РІР‚СљHell noРІР‚Сњ. She could have been a great match for Ted. There were some good gags (the various ruses) and some new websites (to learn more about Lorenzo Von Matterhorn) but I have to say I think writers missed out on the usage of Claire in the broader spectrum of the show. But for me it seemed like an entirely scripted infomercial selling us the next Barney Stinson book. ItРІР‚в„ўs always a good episode when the writers have Barney and Lily play off each other, whether on the same team or opposing. It sounds like Don will be here awhile (or at least in the future), since Older Ted explains, РІР‚СљAnd the ironic part was, thatРІР‚в„ўs the day she met DonРІР‚Сњ. But when she meets her new cute co-host Don (played by Ben Koldyke), she damns Marshall and Ted. The guys taunted Robin, but she ddinРІР‚в„ўt relent. Robin refuses to buy into this, but Ted and Marshall gave her damning evidence, listing many friends that too decided to stop looking for love only to have it find them. Hearing this, Ted and Marshall were instantly convinced that in saying she wasnРІР‚в„ўt interested in dating, Robin pretty much set herself up for meeting the man she was going to marry.

Unlike Barney, Robin wasnРІР‚в„ўt so apt to jump into the dating scene. So much so that only he can properly tell us how РІР‚СљThe Scuba DiverРІР‚Сњ works. She may have schemed him, but Barney had a much bigger scheme in mind: РІР‚СљThe Scuba DiverРІР‚Сњ.Р”В«arneyРІР‚в„ўs a pro. But little did she know that she was playing right into BarneyРІР‚в„ўs hands. Wanting to get back at Barney for РІР‚ВplaybookingРІР‚в„ў one of her friends, Lilly set out to steal BarneyРІР‚в„ўs playbook and use it against him. Lilly might not be as dubious as Barney, but she can certainly hold her own. I think by now weРІР‚в„ўve all learned not to get on LillyРІР‚в„ўs bad side. Lilly had been waiting three years to set up Shelly with Ted, so needless to say she wasnРІР‚в„ўt happy that Barney scammed on her first. Unfortunately for Barney, the first victim of his РІР‚СљplaybookРІР‚Сњ just happened to be a co-worker of LillyРІР‚в„ўs.

Inside this single guy bible were schemes, tricks, and game plans all designed to land the ladies. Eager to get back into the dating scene, Barney relied on an old and trusted friend РІР‚вЂњ РІР‚СљThe PlaybookРІР‚Сњ.
